At younger ages, some of the subdomains of the Battelle® Developmental Inventory, 3rd Edition or BDI-3® are not assessed. The table below indicates which subdomains are administered for which age ranges (and can be found on page 40 of the Examiner's Manual). 


Riverside Score® will provide an “Age Range Warning” when a user attempts to fill in any subdomains which are not applicable based on an examinee’s age:

Note that the warning provided specifies which subdomain is in question, in addition to the minimum recommended age required for the subdomain. A notice is also provided regarding the validity of any scores a user may obtain by assessing a domain outside of the recommended age range.

 

On the test session overview page, when attempting to fill in data for subdomains outside of the examinee’s age range, the page will look like this:

To correct any error fields, users can clear out all information related to the subdomain(s) in question, and select the “save” button on the bottom of the test session overview page.

 

When completing the record form at the item level, a similar error message will appear for any subdomains that are outside of the examinee’s age range:

Users can simply click “Ok” to indicate their acknowledgment of the Age Range Warning message, and navigate to a different subdomain using the banner at the top of the item level view. Users can click on the drop-down within the top banner to navigate:
